Terms of Use
Agreement
By using GrindSAT, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. The Privacy Policy explains what data the site stores and which third parties it talks to.
The service
GrindSAT is a free, browser-based SAT study site. It offers practice from the College Board’s public question bank API, SAT Made Easy and Skill Builder question sets hosted on this site, and study games (SAT Quest, SAT Run, Margin Guard, and Ink Rally). Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. There is no paid subscription described on the site today.
Not affiliated with College Board
GrindSAT is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the College Board. SAT® is a trademark registered by the College Board. Official question content you see from College Board’s API remains subject to College Board’s own terms and rights. Practice materials marked SAT Made Easy or Skill Builder are provided by this site for study use.
Acceptable use
- Use the site for personal education and SAT preparation.
- Do not try to disrupt the site, overload it, or misuse APIs or other users’ live race sessions.
- Do not scrape or republish College Board content in ways that violate College Board’s rules or applicable law.
- If Google sign-in is enabled, keep your account credentials secure and do not access another person’s synced progress.
Accounts and progress
Without signing in, progress and answer history stay in your browser’s local storage. Optional Google sign-in and Firestore sync exist in the codebase but may be switched off until Firebase is configured. When enabled, sync covers SAT Quest progress and question-bank answer logs as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not guarantee that local or cloud progress will never be lost.
TikTok and GrindSAT Studio
GrindSAT may use TikTok’s Login Kit and Content Posting API so the site owner can post GrindSAT Studio SAT
explainer videos to the owner’s own TikTok account, with that owner’s permission. Scopes used for that
purpose are limited to what is needed (user.info.basic, video.upload, and later
video.publish). That integration does not collect data from other TikTok users. Tokens can be
revoked in TikTok settings. Everyday practice on grindsat.com does not require a TikTok account.
Third-party services
The site depends on third parties such as College Board’s question API, Vercel hosting and Web Analytics, Desmos, CDN-hosted libraries, and (for Ink Rally live races) PeerJS / WebRTC. Their availability and terms are outside our control. Outages or changes on those services can affect GrindSAT.
Disclaimer of warranties
The site is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that practice scores, explanations, or games will match your real SAT result, that content is error-free, or that the site will be uninterrupted. Study materials are for preparation only; they are not official SAT scoring or college admissions advice.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators of GrindSAT are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, lost progress, exam outcomes, or reliance on practice content. Some places do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.
Changes
We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
